Oh man, this took up many of my days, but I'm happy with it.  Here's the phone photo for now.  Hopefully the light will be better tomorrow to get a print-worthy shot of this before it's sent to its new home.

Day one!  Just under the deadline, too.   Happy with this handsome fella.  He's only 3x3" and honestly... probably about the same amount of work as if I'd done him three times that size.  I'm using this 30 days of painting as an excuse to use up some of my tinier art materials, though.

That was a mistake, it was way too complicated.

Throwback Thursday!

Oh man, this is an oldie but a goodie... I do miss painting on wood, but this sort of thing tended to be too small, and end up with a lot of little detail.  I like working bigger these days. I think this one was around 9x12".

More Skull Progress

So many layers, but this is what's on my desk now... The initial piece was a little too dark, so you can see that I'm lightening it up in the next one.

Skulls are so lovely!  I imagine I'll use the money from selling these to buy MORE skulls...

Costa Rica!

This is a gift for my friend Dana (www.zelaphas.com) for being awesome and letting me crash on her couch for C2E2.   Unfortunately, it was too big to fly with, so it needs to be shipped to her. 

This is a volcano in Costa Rica.  Good landscape practice.
