Skyler
This was a block print I did a while ago of my former pooch, Skyler. He was the sweetest, most timid dog, but he was a love. We'd often find him completely nestled in a bed with only his nose peeking out. I miss him dearly, and I'm glad I did a few art pieces of him while he was with us.

Spirit Board Painting is Going to be in a Show!
Hooray! I was so glad this one made it in, it's one of my fave pieces this year.
Putting together my Artist Statement today. This is an online show, but it means that Spirit Board is in the running for a live show, so I will be framing her up this coming week just in case.
Here's the link about it:

Other Places to Check Out My ART!
I'm not only here on Blogger! I have a bunch of places to check out my art.
Firstly, I have my personal site and portfolio:
Secondly, I have my Facebook Page, which will soon have contests and giveaways.

I'm slowly putting together my fabric and other goodies shop over at Spoonflower:
And, for all things print, I have my Society6 shop...
I work as the designer for Reagency Design, where my friend Ken Burnside and Imake assorted geeky artwork and put it on shirts. Our shirt shop of awesomeness can be found below!
I hope to have another shop with actual finished artwork for sale soon, just debating if I want to go Etsy or Storenvy.

Fabrics!
Oh, fabric. You are so fun to design.
In the process of getting everything up on Spoonflower, as they have to send you a proof before you can openly sell your designs, but here's my page anyway if you want to poke around.

Fawns
Eventually, this will be fabric! Just messing around with the sketches, but may ink and color these. Not sure yet.

Marker Wolf
Just a little wolfy doodle with lots of ink! What have I learned? Gel pen is indestructible! There's layers of ink all over the gel pen, and it holds up like a champ.
Available as prints, pillows, and more here!

Site Updates and Show Submissions
Just finished putting up a few new pieces and a project section, for those of you interested in my limited edition card decks that I have in progress. Check out my site, www.meganmerz.com, for more!
I finished my submissions for the Linus Gallery's "Haunting" show, the Deer Spirit Board and a matching Planchette. I am considering getting a tester made of the board to see if it's worth producing and selling.

Lovers
More Tarot!
Initially, I had another layout for this card, but the more I researched it, I wanted to rearrange a bit.
The whole gist of the card is leaving the metaphorical garden of Eden and being unable to return. I liked the apple imagery, symbolizing knowledge, and I wanted to show the garden and gate fading off into the distance. It takes temptation to lure us out from the comforts and securities of our own gardens, be it for love of a person, or desire to explore elsewhere.

Heirophant
And here we are, another tarot card. I've started on the Lovers, but I'm not thrilled with that card, so I think I'll redo it. So for now, enjoy this guy!
I do have to keep in mind that I'll lose about 1/4" all the way around these cards, so while it may look like a large margin, I will be losing some of the image.
